A space-video-clothes installation by //JENS_LAUGESEN in Danish Design Center in Copenhagen
Danish Fashion Designer Jens Laugesen shows clothes form his last collection together with the film HR : aVE HYBRID RECONSTRUCTION : after Valie Export.

HR:aVE is a time-based portrait of both models and collaborators wearing garments and outfits from Jens Laugesen's AW0506 collection OUTSIZE 03. As an homage to the Austrian artist, Valie Exports, video from 1976 « Raumsehen und Raumhören ». As this being the last part of the OUTSIZE design trilogy, this film aims to visualise the hybridity of the structural and non-linear morphing that the Jens Laugesen and his collaborators uses as an important creative tool in the building of the collecitons.

The film is a single screen work, utilizing a split screen that slices the portraits and silhouettes of the participants in half and reassembles them in aleatory juxtapositions. Thus mixing genders and participants in an attempt to illustrate the philosophy of genderless clothing that has been at the core of Jens Laugesens designs.
